Airlines

As a member of the Japan Airlines Group, our first recommendation is Japan Airlines. JAL, a Oneworld member, offers customers an unrivalled level of service and the convenience of direct flights. However, we can also offer a selection of alternative airlines known for reliable and efficient services. All the prices mentioned in the brochure are based on economy flights. However, you are welcome to upgrade and enjoy a higher class of travel, where can enjoy access to the executive lounge, wider seats and more legroom, high-tech in-flight entertainment and much more.

JAL Premium Economy

As of 1 December 2007, Japan Airlines introduces the new Premium Economy service on their B777 flights between London Heathrow and Tokyo Narita. For just an additional £225 per sector, you can be upgraded to the luxury of the new JAL Sky Shell Seat in a designated Premium Economy cabin.

Enjoy 20% more legroom, in a wider seat fitted with the latest in in-flight entertainment, a personal 9-inch screen and a larger-sized table. The JAL Premium Economy service provides you with dedicated check-in and priority baggage, and JAL Sakura lounge access among other benefits that are sure to make your journey more relaxing.

Japan Rail Pass

This convenient pass is available for 7,14, or 21 days in Ordinary (second), or Green (first) Class. All the passes mentioned in this brochure are for Ordinary Class, which is very comfortable. However, an upgrade to Green Class for more legroom and extra luggage storage can be arranged. Your chosen Japan Rail Pass allows you unlimited travel on most bullet trains, express, rapid and local trains so you can discover Japan at your leisure.

Alternative Transport

Jaltour can arrange transport options besides the Japan Rail Pass, including internal domestic flights should you wish to visit different areas of Japan in a shorter period, or rental cars. There are many areas in Japan, which are suitable for visitors to rent a car and explore Japan the way they want to see it. Hokkaido particularly, with many beautiful, scenic areas, which are not as conveniently reached by train, is a great place to drive at your leisure on less crowded roads.
