School trips to Japan
School trips are often a highlight of a student’s school experience and create lasting memories of school life. In recent years, there has been a shift from city sightseeing or study tours to more adventurous travel. Students have been combining the comfort of city hotels with more challenging cultural activities. Jaltour has responded to these trends by proposing a wide range of colourful and exciting programmes to satisfy all travellers, while keeping in mind the importance of student safety at all times.
Jaltour is delighted to recognise the growth of British schools’ interest in Japan and welcomes the opportunity to make a contribution to this rewarding area.

Special Interest Tours
Japan is a popular and attractive destination for a various clubs and societies throughout the UK. Group tours focusing on interests such as Japanese gardens, martial art and anime can be organised. Should your group have specific requests and aims for your trip, please contact Jaltour directly.
For a number of years Jaltour has organised a reunion tour for ex-servicemen, friends & family. Tour leader, Wilfred Aldridge comments below:
Since 1992, I have acted as the United Kingdom researcher for the History Library of Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. My on-going brief is to locate British ex-servicemen who served in the Kure area at some time between late 1945 and 1956, either as members of the Occupation Force or, later, as Japan based members of the United Nations Force, Korea.
In 1999, I began organising a 12-day annual group Japan tour, usually taking in Tokyo and Kyoto, but with the main stay always being in Kure, for the men, their families and friends. Of the ten tours to date, to which 297 people have joined me, nine have been arranged with the expertise of Jaltour, whose very friendly and efficient staff have unfailingly encouraged me with itinerary suggestions, advice and perhaps most importantly, very reasonable costs.
The help so freely offered by their staff and their very competitive prices are unlikely to be bettered by any other specialist tour operator. And then, when you finally travel, you will be able to do so with the confidence of having the back up, throughout your visit, with the experienced and caring Jaltour staff. I know - I use them and they have never let me down!
