| Day 2 | Tokyo Transfer by public airport bus to your hotel. Stay for 3 nights. |
| Day 3 | Tokyo Morning sightseeing tour of Tokyo, including Imperial Palace Plaza and Meiji Shrine. Afternoon free. |
| Day 4 | Tokyo Free to explore Tokyo, or you may take an optional tour. |
| Day 5 | Tokyo - Matsumoto Begin using your Japan Rail Pass to travel by train to Matsumoto. Stay overnight. |
| Day 6 | Matsumoto - Tsumago (D) Travel by train to the Kiso Valley using your Japan Rail Pass. Upon arrival, free to explore Magome or Tsumago. You may wish to hike some of the Nakasendo Trail, the original highway from Edo (Tokyo) to Kyoto. Stay overnight in Tsumago at a minshuku. |
| Day 7 | Tsumago - Nagoya (B) Travel by train to Nagoya using your Japan Rail Pass. Stay for 2 nights. |
| Day 8 | Nagoya Free to explore Nagoya, or you may take an optional tour. |
| Day 9 | Nagoya - Kyoto Travel by bullet train to Kyoto using your Japan Rail Pass. Stay for 3 nights. |
| Day 10 | Kyoto Morning sightseeing tour of Kyoto including the Golden Pavilion, Nijo Castle, and Imperial Palace. Afternoon free. |
| Day 11 | Kyoto Free to explore Kyoto, or you may take an optional tour. |
| Day 12 | Kyoto - London Transfer by shuttle bus to Osaka Kansai Airport. Take a domestic flight to Tokyo Narita Airport for non-stop Japan Airlines flight to London, arriving the same day. |
