Although connected to Honshu by the Seto Bridge, mountainous Shikoku remains a mysterious travel destination for those seeking a holiday away from the crowds. Shikoku is home to Samurai, Emperors, religion, legends and stories of old. There is plenty of hidden yet beautiful scenery to be discovered on this island, including the scenic Iya Valley and its Kazura Bridge, dating back to the 12th century.

Samurai residences and farmhouses, mountains and onsen including one of Japan’s oldest, Dogo Onsen, said to be around 3,000 years old, and the first-century Konpira Shrine will give a sense of awe and wonder, and will reward travellers who venture here.
