Begin your adventure in the neon metropolis of Tokyo and take a trip to the coastal area of Kamakura. Visit the scenic area of Hakone before travelling into the heart of Japan’s rugged Gifu prefecture; famed for Hida Takayama and the traditional village Shirakawa-go. Then onwards to Kanazawa, famed for its popular spots including one of Japan’s most famous garden, Kenrokuen Garden.
Next up are Kyoto, Hiroshima and Miyajima, take a trip to the Atomic Bomb Dome and visit the famous ‘floating’ shrine before heading northwards to the canal city Kurashiki, home to Korakuen Garden which is one of three great gardens of Japan.

Day 1 | U.K. Depart U.K. to Tokyo. |
Day 2 | Tokyo Upon arrival at Tokyo you will be met by an English speaking assistant who will help you board a reserved taxi to your hotel. Stay for 3 nights. |
Day 3 | Tokyo Morning sightseeing tour of Tokyo by coach, including Meiji Jingu Shrine, Imperial Palace East Garden (when open) or Imperial Palace Plaza (an alternative if Imperial Palace East Garden is closed) and Sensoji Temple. Afternoon free. |
Day 4 | Kamakura & Enoshima (Lunch). Depart Tokyo on a coach with a guide for Kamakura. Visit Jomyoji Temple and enjoy a tea tasting experience, Hokokuji Temple, the Great Buddha statue at Kotoku-in Temple, Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine and Enoshima. |
Day 5 | Mount Fuji & Hakone (Lunch). Depart Tokyo on a coach with a guide for Hakone, visiting the 5th station of Mount Fuji, Lake Ashi Cruise, Mount Komagatake ropeway and Hakone-en Park. Stay overnight. |
Day 6 | Takayama. Transfer to Odawara station and travel by bullet train and express train to Takayama. In the afternoon, visit Yatai Kaikan Hall and Kusakabe Folk Museum and Kami Sannomachi Town. Stay overnight. |
Day 7 | Takayama – Shirakawa-go – Kanazawa (Lunch). Guided sightseeing tour of Takayama Morning Market, Shirakawago/Shirakawago Observatory and Wada residence. Stay overnight in Kanazawa. |
Day 8 | Kanazawa – Kyoto. Guided sightseeing tour of Kanazawa, including Nagamachi Samuraii District, Former Samurai Residence, Kenrokuen Garden; one of Japan’s most beautiful traditional gardens and Higashi-chaya District. Transfer by express train to Kyoto. Stay for 3 nights. |
Day 9 & 10. | Kyoto. Free to explore Kyoto or you may take an optional tour.. |
Day 11 | Hiroshima & Miyajima. Travel by bullet train to Hiroshima, visiting the popular world heritage sites Itsukushima Shrine, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park/Museum and Atomic Bomb Dome. Stay overnight. |
Day 12 | Kurashiki – Osaka (Lunch). Travel by bullet train to Kurashiki, visiting Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, Ohara Museum of Art and Korakuen Garden, one of the three great gardens of Japan. Transfer by bullet train to Shin Osaka. Stay for 2 nights. |
Day 13 | Osaka. Free to explore Osaka or you may take an optional tour. |
Day 14 | U.K. Transfer to Airport and take flights back to U.K. |
