Meet with National Government Licensed Interpreter Guide at a hotel near Namba station and take a train to Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine. This is the shrine famous for the large crowds from all over the Kansai region visiting on New Year’s day for Hatsumode (first visit of the year to the shrine to pray for a good fortune and health for the coming year).
After immersed sacred and spiritual atmosphere, tour will move on to Shin-Sekai where you can see Osaka’s landmark, Tsutenkaku Tower, Good Old Days ambience with lots of nostalgic billboard and feel the power & the speed of the town with flashy big signs. The area also renowned as inexpensive but hearty street food.
Taste one of Osaka people’s soul food, Kushikatsu, deep-fried meat or vegetables on skewers.
